At Lillico Nurture, our School Holiday Programs invite children to step into the world of Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) — a powerful, experiential way of learning where horses help guide growth, connection, and self-awareness.
Children will have the chance to:
Meet and observe our horses and ponies, noticing how they communicate with each other and with us
Groom and care for the ponies, with the option to decorate them
Learn gentle horsemanship skills such as catching and leading
Design and guide ponies through fun obstacle courses
Play interactive pony-themed games and activities
Explore the surrounding garden and farm
Through these experiences, children naturally develop skills such as:
Growing confidence and resilience
Regulating anxiety and emotions
Recognising and communicating boundaries
Talking about feelings in a safe way
Building relationships within a small, supportive group environment
Our workshops have been especially beneficial for children navigating anxiety, autism, and ADHD — while offering an engaging, memorable day for all.
To ensure each child gets the most from their session, parents are invited to spend a few minutes with Lou to discuss their child’s unique strengths and challenges. This helps tailor the experience, so every child feels supported, encouraged, and able to thrive.
