Liberty Adventure Clinic 2025
Next year, I’ll be traveling to Cornwall to participate in Emma Massingale’s week-long Liberty Adventure. I’ll have the chance to work with horses, ponies, mules, and donkeys in freedom, learning her unique training techniques. Each day will involve Liberty lessons and outdoor activities like foraging, kayaking, and more. It’s the perfect mix of animal training, nature, and self-discovery.
Beyond the daily work with the horses, I’m excited to explore how Emma integrates nature into her training philosophy. The blend of working with animals in diverse environments like the moors, beaches, and woodlands is something that truly resonates with me. This holistic approach to horse training feels like a natural extension of Emma's belief that creating a lifestyle, rather than following strict techniques, leads to the most authentic and rewarding relationships with our equine partners.
During the week, we’ll also get to experience a range of adventure activities—something I’m really looking forward to. Emma has a unique way of combining fun, thought-provoking experiences like coasteering and paddleboarding with her equine philosophy, helping us become better partners for our horses. I love the idea of pushing myself out of my comfort zone, both with the horses and during these outdoor adventures.
And to top it all off, I’ll be staying at Woodlands Manor, a beautifully restored 17th-century farmhouse with a private garden and heated indoor pool. It’s the perfect place to unwind after a day of training and exploring.
This adventure promises to be life-changing—not just for my skills as a horsewoman but also for my personal growth. I can't wait to see where this journey with Emma and her incredible team of animals takes me.
